AM I READY TO BIMOR?

Good question.

But before I answer, let me take a step back. October 2018: I had just turned twenty-one and had the chance (and luck) to spend three months in the craziest city in the world NEW YORK CITY.

I went there for an internship organized by my university, but in reality, it was so much more: a case of reality surpassing fantasy.

An experience that changed my life in EVERY way... the experience from which BiMOR was born, both the brand and the person :)"

Before leaving I had decided to embark on an ambitious project: my idea was to stop as many girls as possible on the street and ask if they wanted to be photographed with one of the bags from our family business (the company in question is Andrea Morando). I also asked each of them to share something about themselves to publish together with their images on a dedicated section of the magazine on the company website.

Even then it was important to focus on the product as much as on the person who wore it and, even if I didn't know it, this would be the starting point from which I would develop the whole identity of my brand once I returned :)

But let's go back to New York: one day, while I was in City Hall Park , I randomly met Giada, a girl from Cesena who I had previously met in the city. After an initial moment of amazement due to the fact that meeting by chance in Manhattan is something absurd, I asked her to take part in my project. After taking the photo, I took advantage of the setting to publish a story on the company's Instagram profile, a story that Giada promptly reposted. Less than 24 hours later, we received a message from a girl from Cesena, a friend of Giada's, who wanted to buy our bags to resell them in her shop.

This is how it all began.

I came back a few months later and we immediately threw ourselves into this new adventure: samples, showroom in Milan, influencers, fashion week... so many new and exciting experiences that I dove into without overthinking.

And now, here I am:

1 JANUARY 2021

More than 2 years have passed since that day in New York but for me it all starts today. Today we are truly here. Today I know exactly what BiMOR represents to me and the message I want it to communicate.

But am I ready to be BiMOR?

Honestly: I don't know. There are so many aspects of me that I still don't understand, I have a long way to go and still many obstacles to overcome, but one thing is certain: I'm ready to put myself out there. I'm not MOR but I'm finally ready to share my work in progress with anyone who wants to follow along.💛

Happy New Year to all my friends, may 2021 be full of positivity and awareness.

With much love,

Bi>
