LIVING UNWORRIED
This month we finally launched the #BiMORUNWORRIED : a brightly colored collection with many new designs that for me is an invitation to live without worries.
As some of you may have understood by now, BiMOR is a very personal brand. Obviously the communication is always aimed at our customers, but each collection reflects a specific moment in my life and, consequently, my thoughts, feelings and emotions about it.
Let me explain better:
ARE YOU DYING? | FW20
The title of the launch collection. A question addressed to myself as a challenge to encourage me to dive headlong into this new project.
BiMOR AWARE | SS21
To remind me to be aware of myself, of my abilities and to prepare myself to face all the obstacles that I would find on my path
BiMOR YOURSELF | Limited Edition
As an invitation to accept and love myself as I am, with all my imperfections and uniqueness.
BiMOR 2.0 | SS22
To encourage me to start again with strength after a difficult period of life, making the most of all the work done up to that point.
BiMOR CONFIDENT | FW22
To remind myself to be confident in the potential of my project and not let other people's opinions instill doubts and insecurities in me.
and finally BiMOR UNWORRIED | SS23
A reminder that everything happens for a reason, that I must trust the process of things and that I must never give in to despair.
In fact, after January, a month full of unexpected events and difficulties (already described in the TRY ME > WHY ME diary page), I finally breathed a sigh of relief and went back to dedicating myself to all the activities planned for February. First of all, obviously, the launch of the new spring summer 2023 collection, followed by the set up of the space we rented in Milan to start our first real sales campaign.
For the launch of the BiMOR UNWORRIED campaign, I decided to organize a trip with my sister Margherita to a destination I had been dreaming of visiting for a long time: Jamaica. The birthplace of Bob Marley, one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century, as well as a promoter of a philosophy of life in which inner peace and hope prevail.
In the song “Three little birds” Bob Marley says “don't worry about a thing 'cause every little thing is gonna be alright” a seemingly simple statement but one with a much deeper meaning that inspired me to choose the name for this collection.
Jamaicans are simple people, they smile at life even when life doesn't smile back at them. Their motto is "Jamaica, no problem" and all that matters is feeling in harmony with the land and the people who populate it. Having the opportunity to spend a week in such a special place reminded me that there is more to work and ambition than mental well-being and harmony between body and mind are equally important elements of life and should not be underestimated.
For this reason, even if I started with the belief that I would produce hundreds of photos and videos to use to promote the new bags, after having taken the main shots to show the most summery part of the collection (the group of raffia bags) I decided to fully experience the culture of the place and to detach myself from social media and telephone for a week.
Going out of my mind to get the perfect shot or to create a Tik Tok that would go viral seemed like nonsense to me considering the title of the collection “BiMOR UNWORRIED” .
I didn't produce as much content as I expected, but I did reflect a lot and this allowed me to answer some doubts that had been plaguing me for a long time.
One above all: I promised myself to learn how to use Tik Tok and make the most of it to make our reality known to as many people as possible but, despite this, in the month of January I did nothing concrete to pursue this goal.
Why?
What held me back was the anxiety of putting myself out there, of trying to test an unknown territory and the fear of other people's judgment. The constant fear of not being up to my own challenge.
Why do I pretend to be born learned? If I wait to be ready to do anything I will never do anything. Things are learned by experimenting, who cares about the judgment of others.
So I simply started producing content: every day a Tik Tok on the most varied topics.
I conclude by reporting a quote from A$AP ROCKY:
“Nobady gives a f**k about what you do. It doesn't put. Yes, I am trying things. How you gonna knock somebody in the world for actually trying to do something. TRYING. Since when has it become not cool to try?”
I will continue to live my life UNWORRIED without caring about the judgment of people who, rather than taking a risk, spend their lives judging those who find the courage to do so.
With much love,
Bi>
